Looking for a private room for yourself and your partner, friend or family member while volunteering in Madagascar? IVHQ offers an affordable accommodation upgrade that provides you with your own private space during your volunteer program.

Each private room comes with two single beds and mosquito nets. Please remember to bring your own bedding and pillow. The room is serviced weekly.

Please note that private room upgrades are limited and tend to book out quickly. Volunteers who wish to upgrade should request this as early as possible. This add on only needs to be added to one MyIVHQ file of the two volunteers sharing the room. 

Arriving early or want to stay after your end date? IVHQ makes it easy to be flexible with your travel dates and offers extra nights of accommodation that you can pre-arrange before you depart. 

You will be accommodated in the same accomodation that you will be staying during your time on the program so no need to be moving around. Please note that the maximum you can book is 2 nights before and/or 2 nights after your program.

Arriving early or departing a few days after your program finishes? IVHQ makes it easy to be flexible with your arrival and departure dates by offering extra nights of accommodation that you can pre-book now.

Want your airport drop off organized for you for the end of your IVHQ Madagascar trip? We can arrange your transport for you from your volunteer accommodation back to Nosy Be, and onward to Fascene Airport at an affordable price. 

Without knowing what the right price is to pay in Madagascar for an airport transfer, alongside needing to catch a boat and ground transport to get from Nosy Komba to Fascene Airport in Nosy Be, you can easily get overcharged and confused, or spend a long time trying to haggle a decent price. Enjoy a stress free journey back to the airport arranged by our local team. 

You’ll be picked up from your volunteer accommodation in Nosy Komba and brought via boat transfer back to Nosy Be. You can then be transported by a trusted driver to Fascene Airport directly, or you can choose to spend the night in Hellville and be transported to the airport the following morning. 

Please note that the boat transfer from Nosy Komba operates on a schedule which varies depending on weather conditions and tides. It is important that you provide your departure date and time so that your Program Manager can check the transfer schedule for you.
