If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts! Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. 

PADI Open Water Divers gain basic knowledge of skills, equipment use, and theory for diving to a recommended depth of 18 meters/60 feet. 

The PADI Open Water Diver course covers three main areas: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives. 

Once certified, PADI will send you your personal Open Water license card via mail. This certification card allows you to dive with every PADI dive shop around the world!

To get the certification, you need to complete two parts:

1) Theory - through PADI eLearning system

You can get started immediately with the classroom portion of your certification course and work at your own pace using the PADI eLearning system at home. PADI charges around $195 USD for the eLearning and you'll need to pay this to PADI via their website, and it's not included in this add-on. Once on the island, we will finish off the appropriate in-water diver portion of the course. During the Confined Water Dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in pool-like conditions. You'll enjoy making one or more minidives, which take you through the same steps you follow when you make open water dives. To complete training you practice, apply and demonstrate what you learn during four Open Water Dives.

As a PADI Open Water Diver, you'll be trained to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet, and are qualified to dive in conditions as good as, or better than, those in which you trained. It's just the beginning of a lifetime filled with dive adventures. 

Native to the Pacific Ocean, lionfish are progressively invading the north-western Atlantic and the Caribbean, where they have no natural predators. Here they threaten the very survival and sustainability of coral reef ecosystems in the Caribbean and Atlantic Oceans.

On the PADI Invasive Lionfish course you will learn what action is needed to control the lionfish population and practical ways to safely and humanely capture and euthanize these fish.

Age requirement: 15 years or older

Prerequisites: PADI Open Water certified 

Designed to advance your diving knowledge and skills, this course allows you to enroll immediately after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification regardless of your skill level. The Advanced Open Water Certification helps you build confidence in navigation, fine-tune buoyancy skills and introduces you to different diving activities.

Once on the island, we will finish off the appropriate in-water diver portion of the course. You’ll make five adventure dives: a deep dive (maximum depth 30m/100ft), a night dive, peak performance buoyancy dive, underwater navigation dive and fish identification dive.

Gain dive knowledge, supervision abilities, and become a role model to divers around the world. The Dive Master Certification rating places you in an elite group of respected divers who have earned this rating through significant experience and scuba training. Fewer than 2% of divers ever achieve this rating!

As a divemaster you'll supervise scuba diving activities and assist with scuba classes. PADI Divemaster is the first step in your diving career. 

To get the Divemaster certification, you'll need to complete two parts:

1) Theory - through PADI eLearning system

Upon payment for the course, ReefCI will send you a PADI eLearning code via email to access the eLearning which must be completed prior to your arrival. With this convenient online study option, you will complete the classroom/theory portion and theory exam of your Dive Master certification before your arrival.  At the end of the eLearning program, you must print out your eRecord and bring a copy of it with you to the island. 

Once on the island, you will receive the rest of your PADI Dive Master Crew Pack learning materials and complete the in-water training portion of the course which takes 4 weeks.

Has it been a long time since you have been scuba diving and you feel uncomfortable with jumping back into the water?  If so, we recommend PADI’s ReActivate Scuba Refresher Course to review basic diving skills. Once on the island, a dive instructor will give you a short refresher covering basic dive skills on land before your dive. Don’t worry, with the online course and quick island refresher you will feel more confident in no time!

To complete the ReActivate Refresher course, you need to complete two parts:

Once on the island, we will finish off the appropriate in-water diver portion of the course. You will complete a water session where you'll practice setting up dive gear, make ascents and descents, and review any scuba skills you may have forgotten which will take 2-6 hours.

The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you techniques and skills to manage and avoid problems while improving your confidence as a diver. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you’ll enhance your ability to identify potential problems and practice dive emergency protocol. 

The PADI Rescue Diver course covers the following topics in seven scenarios: emergency management, panicked diver response, self-rescue and dive stress management, in-water rescue breathing protocols, egress (exists), dive accident scenarios, CPR/First Aid.

The water training sessions are serious fun. You'll practice handling scenarios such as a leg cramp and assisting a tired diver by role-playing with other students and your instructor.

Adventure Diver/Junior Adventure Diver (or qualifying certification) with completed Underwater Navigation Dive

EFR Primary and Secondary Care training (or qualifying training) within 24 months

Explore exciting and mysterious deeper dive sites with confidence at depths down to 40 metres/130 ft with a PADI Deep Diver Certification. On this course you will learn to manage your gas supply, go over buddy contact procedures, and buoyancy control. 

Along with reviewing reasons for deep diving and the importance of knowing your personal limits, you'll learn about specialized deep diving equipment, deep dive planning, buddy contact procedures, safety considerations and buoyancy control and managing your gas supply and dealing with gas narcosis.

PADI Advanced Open Water Certified 

Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and with so many underwater cameras to choose from, it is now easier than ever to capture images of your underwater scuba adventures! 

The PADI Underwater Photographer course allows you to gain valuable experience quickly, whether you use a point and shoot camera or a sophisticated dSLR like the pros. 

To get the certification, you need to complete two parts:

2) Practice - once you arrive to the island
During two dives you’ll get hands-on experience taking photos with a compact camera or action camera. We have all the equipment you need to complete the course successfully, including a camera. You’ll use the SEA (Shoot, Examine, Adjust) method for getting great shots.

PADI Open Water Diver 

The PADI Emergency First Response course builds confidence in rescuers and increases their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. You will learn simple to follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a non stressful learning environment. 

The Emergency First Response course meets the first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings. You will also learn about secondary care (first aid), care for children, CPR and AED.

Please note, this is a non-diving certification and no water sessions are required to complete this specialty course.

Learn eight essential skills for helping others in an emergency. Get hands-on experience administering CPR using a special manikin, practice bandaging and splinting, and apply your new skills in a role-playing scenario.

There are no prerequisites or age restrictions to earn this certification.

The Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course helps you appreciate the complexity of reef ecosystems and teaches you how you can help conserve these vital habitats.

Through classroom discussions, you will learn how coral reefs function and the complex nature of life on a reef, why coral reefs are so important, why so many coral reefs are in serious trouble and what you can do to prevent further decline.

Please note, this is a non-diving certification and no water sessions are required to complete this specialty course. The course takes approximately 2 hours to complete and is completed over 1 day.

There are no prerequisites or age restrictions to earn this certification.

By completing the Fish Identification Specialty course you'll enjoy your dives even more by recognizing the creatures that you see and identifying the main fish families and their characteristics.

During two scuba dives you’ll learn to identify characteristics of local fish families and species and fish survey techniques and strategies.

Please keep in mind that this course does not include a shark dive. 

On the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course you'll see new things, even on the most familiar scuba diving sites. Why? Because when know more about symbioses, underwater ecology, and aquatic plant and animal habitats, you notice behaviors and see creatures you may have previously missed. Through class discussions and on two scuba dives, you'll learn:

It’s easy to get disoriented underwater if you don’t know how to use a compass or natural navigation clues. Learn how to easily find your way back to boat or shore without returning to the surface and avoid long, exhausting swims.

Practice using a compass on the surface, then apply your skills underwater during three dives. Learn how to estimate distance, follow natural clues and practice finding your way back to the boat or shore.
