As we were so rural, accommodation was rustic. But the staff were amazing in keeping it clean. The only real problem I had was with the flies which were out of their control. Every meal I had was amazing considering we were so far from any village/shop. The cook was brilliant!
Some of the work I was expected to do I found difficult sometimes because of my age. I had a go at everything, but sometimes it was too physical for me. But the local team were amazing, full of encouragement, respect for my age and fitness level, extremely helpful and caring.
Go for it! I’m 73 and have never experienced anything like it. I loved the whole experience which has left me wanting to do more traveling. It’s given my confidence an amazing boost.
