Why volunteer for women’s rights?
Many women and girls living in the communities we support face a wide range of social inequalities and often do not have the chance to complete their education or gain financial independence.
By volunteering with women, you will contribute to the long-term goal of assisting social change and creating an inclusive society in which women have equal rights and are able to access education, healthcare and employment opportunities.
You can also expect to learn from a cross-cultural exchange, as you and your host community will have the opportunity to engage with different cultures, ideas and perspectives. We recommend completing an online TEFL course for those wanting to maximize their learnings and experience on our Women’s Education programs.

”I still don't know how to put in words my experience at the Women Empowerment Center in Kathmandu! Just incredible! My main responsibility was to run basic English classes to a group of around 20-30 women who were super eager to learn. I have to admit that I found the experience quite challenging at first as I had to both prepare valuable content and also deliver it in a creative and entertaining way each and every day. Luckily the women at the Women Empowerment Center welcomed me very warmly, and I felt at ease from the very first moment; not even the language barrier was a hindrance. The women proved to be the best students ever – always very engaged and eager to learn. They also opened themselves to me in a way I would never expect. It was an absolutely amazing experience in every aspect.”
