Airport Pickup

Arriving in a foreign country can be overwhelming. A member of our local team will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. You'll be introduced to other volunteers and given time to settle in.

Accommodation

Enjoy a safe and comfortable place to return to after a day of volunteering. Our accommodation options are carefully selected and fully vetted. There are a range of options available to suit solo travelers, couples, families, and retirees.

In Country Program Orientation

To help you ease into your new surroundings, all IVHQ programs begin with a comprehensive orientation. Our local team will guide you through local transport options, how to stay safe, and ideas for free time activities!

Volunteer Placement

Our volunteer placements are run by our local teams, as they are in the best position to identify where your help is most needed. This ensures that you'll join a project where you can make a real impact and contribute towards long-term goals.

Meals

One of the greatest ways to explore a culture is to eat like the locals. Your meals included in the program are typically authentic local cuisine. Most programs cater to those with dietary requirements, including vegan, veggie and gluten free.

Your safety and wellbeing is always our highest priority. You'll be given the mobile phone numbers of our local team, who will be available 24/7 to provide any support, advice, or help. Your IVHQ Program Manager will also be available if needed.
