If you are even slightly considering this program, do it! I gained many things from this experience, (knowledge and utter joy from being immersed in the culture, insight into the education system, learning how to teach and provide care in this culture). But the most important gains I brought home with me are connection and community. The sense of community in the village is something that will always hold a special place in my heart and the connections I made with the people have brought me more fulfillment than I could have ever imagined.

For anyone thinking of embarking on a trip like this, I would recommend that you embrace the unknown and stay open to partaking in various opportunities that would definitely add to your growth as an individual.
